America’s greatest distance runner in without limit movie

For all of my friends who have not seen the movie “Without Limits”, here is a review and brief summary of this unbelievable movie. “Without Limits” is a nice movie in general. It is a perfect pump-up film to watch in the night. Billy Crud up giving a solid all around performance and Donald Sutherland turning in a riveting and engaging portrayal of Pre’s coach and mentor, Nike founder Bill Bowerman. Sutherland is everything you would imagine Bowerman to be fiery, feisty, stern, clever and creative. He provides a compelling face throughout, but remains ever understated even during Pre’s eulogy, and offers one of the film’s great lines: “Running, one might say, is an absurd pastime upon which to be exhausting ourselves. But if you can find meaning in the kind of running required of you to stay on this team, perhaps you’ll find meaning in another absurd pastime: life.” Without Limits, the 1998 Warner Brothers feature which documents the life and times of America’s greatest distance runner, Steve Prefontaine.
